Kokedamas are handcrafted, moss-wrapped plant sculptures that highlight the unique character of each plant. By shaping a soil sphere, covering it in soft green moss, and binding it with twine, each piece becomes a small, living artwork that brings warmth and greenery into any space.
Among my featured kokedamas is the Phalaenopsis pulchra, an orchid admired for its vibrant purple blooms and elegant form. Wrapped in moss, it becomes a bold yet delicate centerpiece, perfect for bright, gentle-light areas.
I also create kokedamas featuring Bulbophyllum species — orchids known for their unusual shapes and fascinating growth habits. The moss ball accentuates their natural textures and gives them a sculptural, botanical presence that stands out in any plant collection.
