A Day at the Studio

Today was a good day at the studio. As a novice ceramics artist, I’m still finding my rhythm with clay — some days feel effortless, and others are full of little lessons disguised as mistakes. Lately, I’ve been trying to stay positive, even when projects don’t turn out the way I hoped. It’s not always easy watching a piece crack or glaze unevenly after hours of care, but that’s part of the journey.
Even with the challenges, there are moments that make it all worth it — the quiet hum of the wheel, the soft texture of freshly wedged clay, or the excitement of opening the kiln to find something unexpectedly beautiful. These small wins remind me why I fell in love with ceramics in the first place.
Every day in the studio teaches me something new — about patience, creativity, and finding joy in imperfection. Today might not have been perfect, but it was good. And sometimes, that’s enough.
